Trophy Updates - April 2026
Welcome to another Trophy product update!
In April we shipped extended support for custom attributes across core Trophy features, gave our analytics a speed boost, and expanded our Admin API to support almost every operation that could be taken in the Trophy dashboard.

🏷️ Multi-attribute Support
In Trophy you can attach custom attributes to users and events to power complex gamification logic.
For example, awarding 5 points for answering a question with difficulty = easy, and 10 points for question with difficulty = hard.
Now, you can use multiple attributes to further customize this logic. For example, awarding points based on difficulty as above, but also only when answered_correctly = true.

Another great use case for custom attributes is leaderboard breakdowns. This lets you split leaderboard rankings into discrete groups by user attribute, for example when creating leaderboards by city.
Now, you can use multiple user attributes to further split leaderboards rankings. For example splitting by city and subscription_plan.

⚡Faster Analytics
Trophy processes over 60M events, 30M streaks and over 1M users across 40 applications.
For our larger customers, with hundreds of thousands of monthly active users, this meant analytics dashboards were starting to slow down.

Our specific challenge is ensuring we maintain low latency access to near term data for day-by-day comparisons, whilst ensuring long-range analytics queries still load fast.
We also run a lot of complex retention, engagement and user activity calculations which are compute heavy.
So in April we took the opportunity to invest in speeding up our analytics dashboards and are pleased with the results:
- Dashboards that used to take up to 10s now load in less than 1s
- New data is reflected in dashboard within a few seconds
- Long-range analytics still maintain the same level of freshness

🌐 Expanded Admin APIs
Based on customer demand, we've expanded support of our Admin API with more endpoints across metrics, attributes, leaderboards and points.

At this point, almost every operation that you could take through the Trophy dashboard is now also possible through the Admin API.
The Admin API can now support white-label style integrations where customers can build configuration dashboards for creating leaderboards, points systems. and more on behalf of their end users.
We're paying particular attention to the Admin API right now, and we'll have more details on what new capabilities will be able to unlock soon...
